Nafiseh Fathollahzadeh is a photographer and artist from Iran based in Berlin. She studied visual communication in Tehran which was followed by Master of photography and research in Folkwang university of arts in Essen, Germany.
Her work deals with urbanism landscape, post-photography, the methodology of collaborative practice in photography, the forms of extended authorship in digital media. Her work investigates the role of citizen photojournalism, appropriation of space through photography and the relation between collective and individual memories of a space.
She founded “Momentography of a failure” project in 2018.
Her works has been shown in Akademie der Künste der Welt, Zeche Zollverein Essen, Lehmbruck Museum Duisburg, Husemannplatz Bochum, Depot Dortmund, UG Museum Folkwang, SANAA – Gebäude, Gublia Gallery, Ahwaz contemporary art meuseum, 2009 Fadjr Festival and Artists’s house Tehran.
