Nafiseh Fathollahzadeh is a lens-based artist based in Berlin. They studied visual communication in Tehran which was followed by Master of photography and research in Folkwang university of arts in Essen, Germany.
Their work deals with post-photography, the methodology of collaborative practice in photography, the forms of extended authorship in digital media. Their work investigates the role of citizen photojournalism, appropriation of space through photography and the relation between collective and individual memories of a space.
They founded “Momentography of a failure” project in 2018.
Fathollahzadeh’s works has been shown in Akademie der Künste der Welt, Zeche Zollverein Essen, Lehmbruck Museum Duisburg, Husemannplatz Bochum, Depot Dortmund, UG Museum Folkwang, SANAA – Gebäude, Gublia Gallery, Ahwaz contemporary art meuseum, 2009 Fadjr Festival and Artists’s house Tehran.
